Linus in Year 4 visited one of the largest privately owned fossil collections in Dorset. Wolfgang Grukle has amassed thousands of fossils including the world's largest uncoiled ammonite, an entire ichthyosaur skeleton, and huge clusters of marine fossils that were discovered high in the Alps.
David Attenborough has visited and many palaeontologists visit to study the fossils. The pictures show Linus holding a sauropod egg and standing alongside a large cluster of unfurled ammonites.
