Reporting Daily Absence

If your child is going to be absent from school, please report the absence on the day (preferably by 9am) by calling the absence line on 01903 204141 and selecting Option 1.

To ensure that absence notifications are received promptly and recorded correctly, please do not report absences by email or through any other app, including Studybugs.

Sickness Reporting Reminder

When reporting your child’s absence, please ensure you tell us the specific reason they are unwell, rather than just stating they are “ill”. This information helps us monitor patterns across the school and follow public health guidance where needed.

Reasons to report your child’s future absence:

• Medical or other appointments.
• Leave required for exceptional circumstances.
• Leave that you know will not be authorised, including family holidays.

Please provide as much detail in your request as possible to help us decide if your circumstances are exceptional.
