Year 6 Bristol Residential

The trip to Bristol was nothing short of extraordinary! Pupils embarked on a fun-filled and educational adventure, packed with unforgettable experiences and fascinating discoveries.

We visited the iconic Concorde, where everyone had the chance to step aboard the legendary supersonic jet and learn about its incredible history. One evening, we enjoyed a vibrant and delicious dinner at ZaZa Bazaar, where pupils sampled a wide variety of world cuisines in a buzzing atmosphere.

We had a cosmic twist with a 3D planetarium show, where we explored the mysteries of space and answered the intriguing question: “Why is a moon not a planet?” Minds were truly blown!

We then climbed the historic Cabot Tower, rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the city. From there, we ventured into the science museum, where pupils got hands-on with interactive exhibits that sparked curiosity and creativity.

A scenic walk led us to the magnificent SS Great Britain, where we delved into the life and legacy of Isambard Kingdom Brunel, one of Britain’s greatest engineers. His genius was further appreciated during our visit to the awe-inspiring Clifton Suspension Bridge, a true marvel of Victorian engineering.

To top it all off, pupils took to the water for an exhilarating canoeing session, building teamwork and confidence while enjoying the natural beauty of Bristol’s waterways.

This trip was a perfect blend of learning, adventure, and fun—an experience that will stay with our pupils for years to come!
