- We were proud to have four pupils representing Homefield at the Area Cross Country Finals at Windlesham House on Monday. Our Year 5 runners were: • Binta – 31st • Iris – 14th • Aubrey – 13th …out of more than 120 competitors! A special congratulations to Aubrey and Iris, who have now qualified for the Sussex Cross Country Finals later this term!
- In Year 6, Anina put in an outstanding performance, finishing 31st overall, despite not feeling 100% on the day. Incredible resilience!
- Congratulations to our 3 KS2 Boccia teams for representing the school with pride and determination. All had a fantastic time competing in the tournament.

A fantastic afternoon of close competition at the Indoor Athletics with TAB, West Park, Orchards and Durrington at the WSSA Cup Final. The team have been working hard at their training sessions, and this was very evident in all the running races, with the slickest baton changeovers of all the schools – helping us gain many places in numerous races. In Year 5, Theon won his javelin throw, and Maddie and Fox both came 2nd in the triple jump and vertical jump events. Maddie and Mia also won the 1+1 relay in a very tight race. There was also a very impressive performance from Chester in his 2+2 with Afham, gaining three places in his leg to secure 2nd place. The boys’ obstacle relay team also finished 2nd. In Year 6, Roman shone once again, winning both his triple jump and long jump, as well as the 1+1 relay with Zander. For the girls, the obstacle relay team were victorious, and both Laura and Eva Po were runners-up in the speed bounce and triple jump respectively. The whole team competed brilliantly and secured an impressive 3rd place overall. A huge thank you to Philip Goacher Associates for providing so many kits, helping our pupils stand out from the crowd!

Y6 Netball Tournament – A brilliant team effort today, earning a well‑deserved 3rd place out of 9 teams! They showed fantastic teamwork and communication throughout, even tackling the extra challenge of adult‑sized posts. After a tense 2-2 semi‑final against Durrington that went to extra time, they fought back with amazing resilience to win 2-0 against TAB in the 3rd‑place play‑off. Huge well done to the whole team — and a special shout‑out to Rosie, voted Players’ Player in her first ever tournament!

Y5s worked well as a team at the football competition on Tuesday. The event started with 2 draws before a couple of close losses. Marcus pulled off some fantastic saves in goal and congratulations to Yusha and Elijah for playing in their first competitive football matches for the school.

Another fantastic and close athletics competition in the Indoor Cup Final this week for our Y3&4 pupils.
Our Y4s performed very well in the field events with Xander (chest push), George (shuttlecock throw) and Pablo (Speed bounce) all winning their events and Darren finishing second in the 5 Strides. Our girls showed excellent teamwork and baton changing to finish 2nd in the 4x1 relay.
The Y3s also performed brilliantly in the field events with wins for Evie D (5 strides), Atnan (Speed Bounce) and Arthur G (Standing Long Jump). Second places for Max (Chest Push) and Rupert (Shuttlecock Throw) help with the team totals. On the track Evie D and Merryn completely dominated the 2+2 relay and the girls also won the 4x1 by some distance too, the boys also matched this by winning their 4x1 relay.
Overall, the combined teams finished 3rd by just 3 points - just missing out on qualification to the next round. Individually the Y4s finished 3rd but our Y3s finished first!
