Remembering the Day Sussex Died
Year 6 pupils have taken part in a powerful project with the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and SHINE Worthing, researching local soldiers who lost their lives at the Battle of the Boar’s Head in 1916 – remembered as The Day Sussex Died. Their work, including a commemorative podcast and interview with historian Paul Reed, will feature in a public exhibition at Worthing Town Hall, helping ensure these stories of sacrifice continue to be remembered by future generations.
