Music at Homefield 2025/2026

At Homefield Primary School, the Music Department is a joyful and inspiring space where every child is encouraged to explore their creativity and develop a love for music. Through singing, playing instruments, and performing, our students experience the power of music in a fun and inclusive environment.

Children have the opportunity to learn and play a wide range of instruments, including percussion, recorders, keyboards, and ukuleles. Our music lessons are hands-on and engaging, helping children build confidence and musical skills from an early age.

We are proud to have a thriving school choir that brings together children from across the year groups. The choir performs regularly at school events, assemblies, and community celebrations.

A highlight of the year is our Lower School Christmas Performances, where our youngest pupils take to the stage to share festive songs and stories. These heartwarming performances are a cherished tradition, bringing together families and the school community to celebrate the season with music and cheer.

For our older pupils, the Upper School Annual Performances are a chance to shine in more ambitious productions. These performances often include singing, instrumental pieces, drama, and dance, showcasing the incredible talent and hard work of our students. Whether it’s a themed concert, a musical, or a collaborative arts showcase, these events are a true celebration of creativity and achievement.
